Together with voluntary and involuntary passers-by, Schmitt&Schulz save democracy! Be there in the livestream!
As part of the ‘umbrella walks’ organised by VIELEN*, Schmitt&Schulz mingle with the public and take strangers under their umbrellas in public spaces. Together with them, they spontaneously create symbolic performative moments and thus set an example against discrimination, marginalisation, contempt, hatred and violence.
What happens under the patronage of Schmitt&Schulz is - as always in nonstoponline - not planned and will - as always - be broadcast live online.
An interactive hybrid artistic action against the threat of right-wing, inhuman ideologies - for an openly plural society of diversity.
The public places where Schmitt&Schulz will be in action will not be announced.

* DIE VIELEN was founded in Berlin in 2017. The aim of DIE VIELEN is to strengthen artistic freedom and resolutely counter the rise of right-wing extremism in politics and society. The association is a source of inspiration for over 4,500 affiliated institutions and active members of the arts and culture, who work together as DIE VIELEN with demonstrations, rallies and artistic happenings, exchange views on current social developments at regular meetings and work self-critically to change their structures.
